Turning waste into fashion, Flokk work with specialist upcycling tailor to transform refurbished chair fabric into a range of stylish bags.
In 2020, Flokk worked with global renewable and circular solution company Neste to upgrade chairs in their Singapore commercial office in the most sustainable way possible.
Flokk reached out to Yvette Ng, the Singapore-based designer behind YNG, who specialises in custom-designed clothing and accessories made from sustainable and upcycled materials. They also provide happy and stress-free working opportunities for elderly seamstresses within the local community.
The fabric was crafted into a series of stylish bags, purchased and thereafter given as rewards to some of the Neste employees to use in their daily lives.
